Does the idea of moving house fill you with dread? If you want or need to move, but feel that you won't be to able cope with everything involved, help is at hand.
Liz and James Langton Way from Friendly Faces™ are offering a new service to help lessen the problems involved with moving.
For many people who perhaps don't have locally-based family and friends to assist with a move, using the services of Liz and James can make all the difference between a traumatic experience and a relatively hassle-free transition from one property to another.
Police-checked and insured, Friendly Faces™ can:
- Help reduce the stress of moving
- Find a selection of suitable properties to buy/rent
- Liaise with Estate Agents, solicitors and vendors where required
- Drive you around the area to find just the right location
- Arrange a house clearance or the sale/purchase of specific items
- Make sure the property you move out of/into is spring cleaned
- Organise suitable trades-people
- Look after your pets during a move
- Provide non-move services for housebound clients (eg shopping, hospital/doctor visits etc.)
Finding a suitable property
Give Liz and James the criteria for your new property and they will do the initial legwork to find a selection of suitable properties for you to choose from. They can even drive you around an area to see if the location is appropriate and includes the right amenities such as shops, surgery, vet and public transport and then arrange for a viewing of the chosen properties.
Removals
Friendly Faces™ can either organise removals directly using their own people or, for larger properties, arrange for a suitably reliable removal firm to undertake the move.
House clearance
With his years of experience in dealing in antiques and collectables, James is well placed to find the best option for selling no longer required items or to arrange a full or partial house clearance.
House cleaning
If you want to move into a clean and fresh property, Liz and James can organise for it to be spring cleaned from top to bottom before you move in. Should the property be empty, Friendly Faces™ can liaise with the vendor's Estate Agents to access the property before the move takes place or arrange the cleaning prior to the furniture arriving on the day of the move.
Trades people
Liz has spent a number of years writing advertisement features for Adscene, the Isle of Thanet Gazette and Thanet Times, promoting many local small businesses. These have included builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, decorators, gardeners and window companies. As a result, she has researched those most suitable for a wide variety of requirements. She can also advise on excellent curtain makers, carpet fitters and designers.
Pets
A move can often be a traumatic experience for pets and, through their well-known business, Friendly Paws™, Liz and James can arrange to look after your pets (particularly dogs) while your move takes place, in a home-from-home environment, rather than in kennels.
Housebound services
Whether you are disabled, frail or elderly or just need a helping hand, Friendly Faces™ can also provide a variety of periphal services not associated with moving house. These include helping housebound clients with such things as domestic shopping, taking them to visit friends and family or a medical appointment, as well as perhaps going out for a bit of retail therapy.
